Biography: Dave Gold

Hello, I'm Dave and I am the Programme Controller and the Treasurer for the Radio Station.

 

I have been involved with Hospital Radio for over twenty years and with Southend Hospital Radio for ten years. The position of Programme Controller is an essential job as I have to make sure that programme content and air time is suitable for our listeners.

 

Someone has to balance the books to ensure that the funds raised are spent wisely, as we are totally self-funded.

 

Despite my responsibilities I still manage to enjoy my time at the station as I also help with request collecting.
