Southend Hospital Radio would like to thank all of you who donated to our funds at our charity collection at the Tesco Extra in Westcliff on Thursday the 8th of September 2011. We raised £103.45 to help to cover the station's running costs.
Southend Hospital Radio would like to thank those of you who sponsored our team in this year's Southend Moonlight Colourthon. Dave Gold and Simon Pearson took part in this year's charity event on Saturday the 2nd of July 2011, walking the 13 mile circuit at night. After deducting the £30 registration fee, a total of £676.30 was raised for the Southend Hospital Radio funds. Thanks to everyone that sponsored us.
For the month of March, Southend Hospital Radio was one of the three charities that shoppers at Waitrose Leigh-on-Sea can show support for. Thanks to Waitrose for supporting us, and to those of you who voted with your green token. A total of £255 was donated to us by Waitrose in Leigh-on-Sea. More info: Waitrose Community Matters

On Sunday the 21st of November, we held a Chinese Meal for members and supporters at Zen City in Westcliff-on-Sea. We raised over £420 for hospital radio funds. More info: Charity Meal 2010

The 'Unseen 1963' exhibition took take place between 7th and 29th November 2009 at the Atelier Gallery, 96 Broadway, Leigh-on-Sea (opposite the Grand Hotel)

The exhibition highlights photos taken at Southend and Romford Odeons in 1963. There was a chance to win a print in a special prize draw raffle in aid of Southend Hospital Radio. More on Unseen 1963.
A few photos of our recent fundraising Chinese meal, where sixty-nine people joined us for a great evening out.

The old and new broadcasting systems are now fully operational.
On 20th April 2008 at Rochford Hundred Rugby Club over 100 members and friends were treated to a special Brass Band Concert given by Brentwood Brass.

This fund raising event helped us raise £1500 towards the upkeep of the studio/station.
